The Central District Netball Club (CDNC), in conjunction with its strategic alliance with the Central District Football Club (CDFC) represents a district, encompassing Salisbury, Elizabeth, Gawler, Adelaide Plains, Barossa Valley and the Mid North, truly Uniting The North in sport.
Since 1998 Harlequin Netball Club participated in the elite South Australian Netball landscape, submitting teams into the State League Netball competition and the underpinning Adelaide Metropolitan Netball Division and whilst the clubs history spans decades prior to this, it's unique partnership with CDFC remains key to its existence.
Throughout a successful period of time as individual clubs, both Harlequin Netball Club and CDFC have seen the Northern region continue to grow in both population and sporting interest, especially in Netball and Football. For this reason, 2016 marked a significant year of change when Harlequin Netball Club made the decision to undertake a major rebrand. As a result, Central District Netball Club was born.
In 2017 the South Australian Netball community witnessed a new era, when CDNC stepped out on the courts at Priceline Stadium in the RED, WHITE and BLUE and established a new force in Northern Netball excellence.
We will endeavour to represent the Central District and our wider community with the highest level of professionalism.
We will wear our colours with pride.
We will acknowledge the importance of creating an inclusive environment that is built on respect, honour and passion for the sport of Netball, our Club, community, partners and affiliates.
We will not accept anything less than 100% in everything we do.
We will play every game as if it was our last and take every opportunity we are given.
We will not accept mediocrity.
We will continue to innovate and look to the future.
We will invest in our junior program, for they are our future.
We will support our members by providing a cost-effective pathway to elite Netball.
We will engage with our community and give back where we can.
We will provide local businesses with partnership opportunities.
We will work collaboratively with our strategic partners and sponsors to benefit our district.
Prior to 2017, CDNC represented the Northern region as Harlequin Netball Club, a foundation member of the Elizabeth Netball Association (1967) and Netball South Australia affiliated Premier League and Adelaide Metropolitan Netball Division (2003).
The strategic alliance that was established in 1998 with CDFC provided Harlequin with additional opportunities to encourage Netball participation in the North, but was limited in its clear distinction with the Football Club.
After a restructure in 2014, foundation plans commenced to undertake a major re-brand of Harlequin Netball Club and finally facilitate the long-term goal to forming one Central District sporting brand.
This strategic alliance provides both clubs with opportunities to provide aspiring Netballers and Footballers with an avenue for elite participation.
CDFC has a long history of success in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL), its members and supporters taking pride in their club and dedicated to building a strong reputation known for their loyalty and passion.
Central District Netball Club continues to draw on this rich history and add to the success of the Central District brand, by participating in the highest pre-elite competition, the Netball South Australia Premier League in the coming years.
The Committee works tremendously hard to make sure Central District Netball Club is well positioned to run efficiently, effectively and supports the ongoing growth of Netball in the North. As volunteers for the Club, they give up their time to make sure CDNC players can continue to take the court each week and for that we say THANK YOU!

Our strategic alliance with CDFC provides our Club with access to the facilities at Grand Central Tavern.
We host a number of post-match presentation nights throughout the season where members can head back to our home base after Saturday's games for dinner and drinks and to hear (and celebrate) the results from the day. We also announce MVP's and Incentive winners.
Grand Central Tavern also hosts our annual Gala Night, our major end-of-season event. Our Gala Night awards our Club's highest accolade, the Club Champions, along with team MVP's, Coaches Awards, Life Memberships and Umpire/Coach Awards.
